Taylorsville Man, Woman Killed in Crash
The 2000 Ford Contour hit the back of a tractor-trailer on Highway 113 at Covered Bridge Road just outside Cartersville.

Wright said the Ford driven by Wilma Ann Wilcox, 64, of Taylorsville, ran the stop sign southbound on Covered Bridge Road and hit the truck in the right side. Also killed was her passenger, Robert Benney Jones, 52, of Taylorsville.

Two people in a 2000 Ford Contour that was traveling southbound on Covered Bridge Road were killed in the crash with a tractor-trailer, spokesman Gordy Wright said. Their families currently are being notified.
At 11:35 a.m., the car struck the right rear of a Lay's Transportation tractor-trailer traveling west on Highway 113 and driven by Joel Scott Jordan, 49, of Albertville, AL, who was not injured.
