Two Arrested, Charged in Cell Phone Store Burglary

Cartersville police officers spotted a teen running and learned of the early-morning burglary of a cell phone repair store in Cartersville Plaza.

Police quickly arrested two people in connection with an alleged early-morning burglary Wednesday at a Cartersville Plaza store, Cartersville Police Department Chief Tommy Culpepper announced today.

About 1:25 a.m., a police officer spotted a man running in the area Hobby Lobby and learned Cartersville Cellphone Repair at 236 North Dixie Ave. had been burglarized, according to the news release.

The front window of the business had been shattered and several valuables, including cell phones, had been taken. An investigator was called in and as a result, a juvenile, 16, and another teen have been arrested.

Authorities didn't release the juvenile's name, but he and Malik Isaiah Goggins, 17, of Cassville Road in Cartersville, each face a burglary charge. 

Police have recovered several cell phones.
