Three Charged in Alleged Home Invasion

Cartersville police say the threesome assaulted two women and two men.

An alleged 2 a.m. assault Friday resulted when a man became angry at a woman who declined his advances, one of the victims told officers.

In a news release, officials said officers were called to an Ohio Street home where a home invasion had occurred. The four alleged victims identified the three men they say held guns to their heads, according to the incident report.

β€’ Keith Taylor, 31, who was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and two counts of false imprisonment.

β€’ Richard Lamont Taylor, also know as "C-Murder," 29, who was charged with aggravated assault.

β€’ Tyrone Maurice Taylor, 27, of 25 Gilreath Road, Apt. 13, Cartersville, who was charged with aggravated battery and two counts of simple battery.

According to the police report, Tyrone Taylor allegedly became angry with a woman with whom he was talking on the phone while at work. Twenty minutes after the two last spoke, he and the two other men arrived at the home, allegedly struck the victims with closed fists and brandished firearms at each of the victims' heads.

The victims said two firearms were involved in the incident, in which each of the victims were allegedly threatened to be shot.

A deputy pulled over Tyrone and Richard Taylor, but Keith Taylor was not in the vehicle. Deputies did not find guns in the vehicle either.

The alleged victims sustained superficial injuries. The woman said Tyrone Taylor punched her in the mouth and one of the male victims had a swollen hand.

The investigation is ongoing.
