Three Arrested in Bartow Auto Salvage Yard Burglaries

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has charged three people with stealing parts from cars parked inside the Martin's Auto Salvage yard.

Three people have been arrested for allegedly stealing parts from cars parked inside an auto salvage yard.

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office has arrested Ronald Keith Angel, 30, of Taylorsville; Joshua Wayne Watson, 28, of Rockmart; and Lagrissa Marlene Miller, 22, of Rockmart and charged all three with burglary.

According to a press release from Sheriff Clark Millsap, deputies on Feb. 19 noticed an unoccupied vehicle that was trapped in mud at the entrance of Martin's Auto Salvage, which sits on Highway 411 near the Bartow-Floyd county line.

Several vehicles in the scrap yard had allegedly been entered into and had parts removed, the sheriff's office said.

A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of the three suspects. Working with the suspects and recovering evidence also led detectives to charge the three suspects with burglarizing and stealing from the yard on several different occasions.

Additional charges are possible as the investigation continues, the sheriff said.
