Father, Son Charged in Shooting, Pot

Cartersville police charged Mark Harris with two more counts and his son, Parker, with a misdemeanor marijuana violation.

said today additional charges have been filed against Mark Alan Harris, 53, in connection to a Tuesday shooting at his home.Β Β 

Harris now faces two additional counts of aggravated assault. He was already charged with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting three times Tony Collum, 44.

The new charges stem from the and alleged threats made to Michael Collum, who police say had accompanied Tony Collum to 110 Maple Drive to confront someone about taking his daughter to buy drugs.

Harris now faces three counts of aggravated assault. His apparent son, Parker Harris, 17, who also lives in the home, was charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

Police say the alleged marijuana and other drug-related items were found during the execution of a search warrant at the residence.

Both men turned themselves in late Wednesday afternoon and bonded out shortly thereafter.
