Bartow Sheriff: Missing Acworth Teen Found

Amber Harrison, 14, was last seen in Acworth early Tuesday morning but was found Wednesday evening in Bibb County.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday reported on its Facebook page that Amber Harrison had been found and was in custody of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap, a citizen aware of the AMBER Alert spotted the vehicle and called 911. Bibb County authorities found the vehicle and Harrison at a motel within their county.

Authorities about 7 p.m. Wednesday issued an AMBER Alert in response to a 14-year-old girl that reportedly went missing about 1 a.m. Tuesday in Acworth.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children reports that Amber Katie Harrison was last seen at 429 New Hope Church Road in Acworth. Harrison may be traveling with 20-year-old Justin Cooley in a white 2013 Range Rover SP with Georgia plate GA47GM.

The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office on its Facebook page wrote that the vehicle, which they report is a white 2014 Range Rover, could be heading to Paulding County.

“If you are near Hiram in Paulding County please watch for her and call 9-1-1 if she is spotted,” BCSO officials wrote.

Harrison, who is white, is described as being 5 feet tall, 125 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Cooley was described as a 6-foot-1-inch white male, 230 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair.
