Shooting Suspect Still at Large, To Be Charged with Aggravated Battery

The woman shot in the face Saturday morning at a Cartersville motel is hospitalized in Atlanta.

The Bartow County man accused of shooting an Adairsville woman in the face Saturday at a Cartersville motel is still at large and authorities aren't releasing his name.

But Cartersville Police Department Capt. Mark Camp said the suspect is a 28-year-old man last known to have lived in Rydal. Warrants for his arrest have been issued, Camp added.

He will be charged with aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with the shooting that injured Classie Rochelle Pratt, 24, of Adairsville, at Courtesy Inn on Highway 411.

Pratt is still hospitalized in Atlanta, Camp said.
