Flat screen TVs, Xbox games, jewelry, and a compound bow and shotgun are some of the valuables an Acworth man is accused of plundering from a Cartersville home.
Bartow County Sheriff's Office investigators Monday arrested 20-year-old Malcolm Ellis Oliver in connection with the alleged Feb. 10 burglary of an Oakridge Drive home. Oliver sold some of the property he took in the suspected break-in to a local pawn shop, Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a press release.
Authorities say in addition to recovering stolen property at the store, they found valuables taken in the burglary at Oliver's Cardinal Way home when he was arrested.
The property has been returned to the alleged victim.
Oliver is housed in the Bartow County jail, pending a Superior Court bond hearing. He is charged with burglary and two counts of misdemeanor theft by deception, but faces criminal charges in another jurisdiction in an apparent unrelated case.
When booked at jail, he also was charged with auto burglary.
