Second Arrest Made in Death of Michael McIntyre

A 33-year-old Kingston man is being held in jail for allegedly helping another man hide and dispose of the body.


A Kingston man arrested Tuesday morning was the second person charged in connection with the death of Michael Allen McIntyre.

According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, investigators arrested Phillip Jared Martin, 33, of Kingston in connection with the case.

Michael McIntyre had been reported missing by his family on May 24 and his body was discovered on May 30.  Sheriff's investigators say they discovered evidence during the investigation to allege that Phillip Martin had helped hiding an disposing of McIntyre's body.

Jason Daniel Poston, 30, was arrested on June 7 also for allegedly hiding and disposing of McIntyre's body.

Martin was booked into jail Tuesday morning on charges of concealing the death and disposing of the dead body.  He is being held without bond at this time.
