Search for Wanted Man Turns Up Pot, Meth Lying in Plain View

Bartow County deputies arrested two on marijuana, meth charges.

A Cartersville man and woman face drug charges after Bartow County deputies found bags of marijuana lying all over the floor.

According to the incident report, deputies went to a Rosewood Lane address in search of Charles Rickey Bagley for an outstanding warrant for probation violation.

Donna Sue Mills answered the door and told deputies that Bagley was not home, but agreed to let them search the home to confirm the man wasn't there.

In the back bedroom, deputies found plastic bags of marijuana next to a towel by the bed, sticking out from under the bed and on the floor at the bedroom doorway. They also found loose pot on the floor and a glass smoking pipe with suspected methamphetamine in it lying next to the bed.

"All of the suspected narcotics located were in plain sight," the deputy wrote in the report.

Bagley was found in the bathroom and was placed under arrest.

Mills, 52, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, less than 1 ounce, and possession of both by ingestion.

Bagley, 33, also was charged with possession of meth and marijuana by ingestion, as well as probation violation.
