Rolex Watches Valued Over $10,000 Taken From Home

A Cartersville couple said several Rolex watches, pieces of jewelry and a laptop computer were taken from their home while they were away.

According to a Cartersville Police Department incident report dated March 2, the couple at the home on Rock Ridge Court said they believed the alleged burglary occurred between Thursday, Feb. 27 and the day they filed the report. 

No forced entry was noted, and the house "looked like someone had gone through several drawers, closets and bedrooms," one of the victims told the responding officer.

A man living at the home told the officer that his girlfriend's son, 17, allegedly had a house party while they were out of town. 

The woman told officers she dispatched her son's father to the home in an effort to break up the party. The couple told officers the ex-husband reported seven additional boys were at the home when he arrived and forced them all, including his son, to leave. 

Along with the missing items, the couple reported finding a pink boys' shirt inside the home, but that it did not belong to anyone who resided at the residence at that time.
