Robber Wears 'Scream' Movie Mask

The man dressed in all black also had a gun.

A Cartersville man says he was robbed at gunpoint Jan. 3 by a man wearing a mask similar to the one used in the "Scream" series of films.

The 57-year-old Paige Street resident said a Caucasian man wearing the mask and all black clothing came into his home, which was unlocked, about 1:20 a.m., pointed a black, semi-automatic gun at him and instructed him to hand over all of his money.

The victim, who is disabled, said he didn't report the incident to police until Jan. 8 because he was "scared," according to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office incident report.

He made the report at the sheriff's office and told a deputy that the robber took $375 and left.
