Reward for Info on 'Tagging' Cartersville Plaza

The owner of the older shopping center is asking for the public's help to stem the tide of graffiti.

A reward is available to anyone who provides information leading to the arrests of those responsible for "tagging" Cartersville Plaza, the shopping center housing Fred's and other businesses, Cartersville Police Department Chief Thomas Culpepper said today.

The owner also is asking for the public’s help to stem the tide of graffiti taking place.

"Typically, tagging is done by those who live close to the area; being tagged as a matter of marking their territory and warning others to stay out of their 'turf,'" Culpepper said in a statement.
