Carmike Bomb Threat Leads to Theater Search
The movie theater in Cartersville is one of several locations across metro Atlanta affected by the "non-specific" threat.
Only two employees and no customers were inside in Cartersville this morning when a bomb threat led to evacuations and searches of several movie theaters, Sgt. Jonathan Rogers said.
Company officials asked local authorities to conduct a search after Carmike'sΒ corporate offices in Columbus, GA, received what Rogers called a "non-specific threat."
"It didn't include a location," Rogers said. "So they didn't know where the bombs could be."
