Police: Man Reports Bathroom Robbery

Cartersville police have not located a suspect and continue to investigate the report of an armed robbery at Grand China.

Camp confirmed the report of an attempted armed robbery at Grand China.

He said while few details are available, police determined after talking to victim the reported crime occurred while the man was using the restroom in the restaurant.

"While in the restroom, another black male came in to the restroom and pointed a gun at him," Camp said. "At that point the victim was able to run out of the restroom and run from the business. 

"The assailant left on foot in the vicinity of Grassdale Road. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6-feet-1-inch tall, approximately 140 pounds, with slim build, and was wearing a gray hoodie-type shirt.

Police have not released many details of an incident at , a Grassdale Road restaurant that also delivers its Chinese food, but initial reports indicate a man with a gun attempted a robbery.

While 's Lt. Mark Camp confirmed an investigation is under way, he said no further information is currently available. Bartow Scanner was the first to report an apparent attempted robbery and said according to reports, it happed about 10:40 a.m.

A man wearing a black jacket, gray hoodie and blue jeans, who was brandishing a gun, entered the , according to Bartow Scanner and WBHF-AM 1450.

Less than an hour following the incident, it appeared police were questioning witnesses outside the restaurant and Cartersville Patch spotted at least two deputies apparently patrolling or searching the area.
