Police Charge Two in Shooting

Cartersville police say the homeowner and another man face charges related to a shooting on Hannon Way.

Cartersville Police Department Chief Tommy Culpepper said two people have been charged in connection with an April 26 shooting incident at 46 Hannon Way. Police got the call about 6:30 p.m.

Joseph Rustin Collins, 24, who lives at the address, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in addition to earlier drug-related charges.

Daylon Gamble, 19, of 216 Roth Lane, who was shot three times during the incident, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery and possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce.
