17-Year-Old Arrested in Connection with Alleged Home Invasions

Cartersville Police Department investigators say Jerry Jerome Kilgore is responsible for two alleged burglaries, one of which involved an alleged rape and another an alleged attempted rape.

investigators have charged a teen already in law enforcement custody with two alleged home invasions.

According to the press release, arrest warrants taken for Jerry Jerome Kilgore, 17, of 366 Old Mill Road, Apt. 507, Cartersville, are in connection with home invasions that took place on July 14 and Aug. 9. 

Kilgore was already in jail in connection with a Pine Grove Road incident that occurred Aug. 5. He allegedly attempted to snatch a woman's purse.

In the latest round of charges, Kilgore was charged with rape, aggravated assault, battery, false imprisonment, burglary and obstruction of an emergency phone call in connection with an alleged home invasion on Old Mill Road.

He was also charged in connection with a third incident, another alleged home invasion, on Pine Grove Road and faces several counts—criminal attempt to commit rape, aggravated assault, burglary, false imprisonment, battery and obstruction of an emergency phone call.
