Owner Bit in 2-Dog Fight

The Australian Blue Healer and terrier mix crossed paths in the parking lot of a Cartersville restaurant.

A smaller terrier mix and its owner were hurt Sunday when a second dog escaped a truck in the parking lot.

The Australian Blue Healer had slipped out the back window of its owner's truck, according to the incident report. The Oklahoma man said the window was slightly open, but he didn't know until it was too late.

The terrier got away from the brawl with two small puncture wounds to the neck and throat. Its owner, a Dalton man who broke up the dualing dogs, was bit on the left wrist, causing a small cut.
