No Signs of Foul Play in Missing Woman Case

Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap said investigators are still processing Wazineh Suleiman's SUV, but nothing inside points to foul play.

As the investigation of a Cartersville woman's disappearance continues, authorities say at this time there is no indication Wazineh Suleiman was a victim of foul play.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said about 3:30 p.m. investigators are still searching and processing the SUV in Acworth, but there are no signs of a struggle inside the Nissan Armada.

"We're interviewing as many folks as we can," Millsap said, adding detectives plan to again speak with Suleiman's husband, Abed Suleiman, who reported her missing about 10:40 p.m. Friday, and follow up with other witnesses.

A clinical pharmacist at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome according to his Facebook page, Abed told authorities his wife travelled to Walmart to rent a movie and never returned.

Millsap said Abed told investigators he and Wazineh texted until about 10 Friday night and "all of the sudden it stopped." The sheriff added investigators are probing further into the couple's relationship, but do not know if there were problems or a history of any type of issues.

Authorities also plan to interview the Abed's friend, with whom he said he went hunting Friday night. AJC reported that Abed said he and the friend drove to Dalton, ate dinner, bought supplies and then realized the group they were to meet was hunting a different weekend.

Surveillance footage from could be an important clue. Millsap said his team is trying to determine if Wazineh's vehicle could be spotted on that video and indicate if the woman was at Walmart "if that's where she was headed."

Abed also told AJC his wife .

Authorities also plan to send officers to the children's school in Atlanta, Millsap said. Wazineh and Abed have five children, ages 6 to 12.

Abed told AJC he returned from what was to be the hunting trip to find the children watching TV without their mother. He added the eldest child said Wazineh had went to rent a movie about 10 minutes prior.

According to reports, the Middle Eastern woman, who is about 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds, and has brown hair (which usually would be covered) and hazel eyes, was last seen about 9 p.m. Friday.

Currently, the 30-year-old is being treated as a missing and endangered person.
