Trapped Motorcyclist Flown to Grady 

When  and  crews Wednesday morning responded to an accident that temporarily shut down Reinhardt College Parkway near Hickory Nut Drive, they found a 22-year-old woman trapped under a pickup truck.

The 22-year-old motorcyclist who had to be pulled from under the pickup truck has been identified as Stephanie Marie Christ, 22, of Canton. The 62-year-old driver of the Chevrolet S-10 truck is Larry Richard Mason, 62, of Waleska.

"She was operating a 2005 Buell Blast and pulled from Hickory Nut and into the path of the eastbound Chevrolet S10 truck," GSP spokesman Gordy Wright said.

First reported as a robbery threat, police late Wednesday responded to a domestic dispute in unincorporated Lilburn. They met a man with a gun standing in the driveway.

Human Rights Group Plans Sit-In at Controversial Cobb Bar

Gerald Rose, the leader of the human rights group that planned a press conference at a Marietta bar known for its controversial signs, is now planning a sit-in at the bar on Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.

Mulligan's Food & Spirits has with racial slurs referring to Hispanic people and other groups. The former bar owner, Mike Norman, made national headlines when he sold T-shirts depicting then presidential nominee Barack Obama as the monkey Curious George.

Elderly Woman Killed in Hit and Run 

A 67-year-old female pedestrian was fatally injured, Tuesday evening, when an SUV struck her on Roswell Road, near Hightower Trail. She was taken to North Fulton Hospital where she died from severe head injuries.

Police are looking for a dark colored SUV that contained a white female passenger.

Move to Censure Cobb School Board Member Falls Short

After trying for two months to formally rebuke one of her colleagues, Cobb Board of Education member Kathleen Angelucci couldn't get enough votes to trigger an official hearing on the matter. 

On Wednesday morning the school board rejected, by a 4-3 vote, her motion to conduct censure proceedings against David Banks, whom she accused in July .

Copper Thieves Caught in the Act  

Two Marietta men were arrested Tuesday, concluding a two-month copper theft investigation by .

Authorities say John Riley, 24, and Stanley Ledford, 50, were caught in the act of stealing copper Sept. 11 at a Georgia Power facility about 4:45 a.m.

Evidence recovered at the scene linked the two suspects to seven burglaries at five other locations, according to police.
