A student was shot and a teacher injured Thursday afternoon at Price Middle School in southeast Atlanta.

A juvenile suspect was quickly apprehended by a school resource officer and taken into custody, Atlanta police said. A small-caliber handgun was recovered. It appeared the victim and suspect knew each other and had argued earlier. .

The family of Zachary Allen Rose, a victim in a , is struggling to cope with his death, and to find funds to pay for his funeral.

"We just celebrated his birthday, he just turned 22," said his sister, Audrey Greene, as she worked on creating a video of her brother to be shown at the funeral home.

Cobb Donates Fire Engine to Station Hit by Hurricane Sandy - Marietta Patch

Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services is donating a surplused engine to the West Hamilton Beach Volunteer Fire Department.

The engine is a 1992 Pierce Arrow Red Pumper (Engine 34, Vehicle # 3406) with 177,292 miles. The donation will take place at Fire Headquarters located at 1595 County Services Pkwy. Marietta, on Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. .

New Krystal Corporate Headquarters Moves Here - Dunwoody Patch

Krystal is moving its corporate offices to Dunwoody. The company is currently headquartered in Chattanooga, TN.

According to the Chattanooga Times-Free Press, Krystal's move to Dunwoody will be completed in the early part of 2013. The company is moving to the area because Atlanta's larger airport will allow its executives better access to its offices.
