Armed Robbery Suspect Apprehended in Lithonia - Stone Mountain-Lithonia Patch

The suspect in an armed robbery attempt Friday morning has been arrested without incident after barricading himself in a Panola Road residence.

A DeKalb officer observed a person kicking in the rear door of a home in the 1800 block of Panola Road. A SWAT team is attempting to make contact with the suspect, according to DeKalb police spokeswoman Mekka Parrish. Visit Stone Mountain-Lithonia Patch for more on this story.

Members of the Kennesaw Chapter of Delta Chi International Fraternity in September allegedly blindfolded pledges, applied duct tape to them and forced them to consume alcohol for several hours at a time, according to new documents, Kennesaw State University released on Thursday.

The documents, which were obtained through an Open Records Request, also revealed that members allegedly intimidated a student they thought reported the hazing to school officials and encouraged him to change his story. Visit Kennesaw Patch for more on this story.

Two Dead In Athens House Fire - My Fox Atlanta

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a house fire that claimed the lives of a mother and adult son on Thursday evening.

Tyler Perry Filming at Agnes ScottDecatur-Avondale Estates Patch

A large film crew descended on Agnes Scott College on Thursday as filmmaker Tyler Perry shot scenes for his movie "Single Moms Club."
