4 People Found Dead in Johns Creek Apartment

Four people have been found dead in Aylesbury Farms apartments on Abbotts Bridge Road, according to the Johns Creek Police Department.

Police found the bodies mid-morning today, Monday, Feb. 4, while conducting a welfare check, said Johns Creek's Communications Manager Rosemary Taylor, who added that all four bodies were found in one unit, No. 601. Read more about this story on Johns Creek Patch.

2 Teens Die in Sandy Plains Road Crash

Two teenagers were killed in East Cobb early Sunday morning when the car in which they were riding crashed into a brick sign and caught fire.

Sgt. Dana Pierce of the Cobb Police Department said the victims were Stephen Nolasco, 19, and Matthew Bennett, 18, both of Marietta.

The accident occurred around 3:20 a.m., when a silver 2001 Volvo S60 Nolasco was driving northbound on Sandy Plains Road apparently lost control, according to Pierce. .


Report: Woodstock School That Bans Homosexuality Receives State Dollars

Some scholarship money generated through a Georgia tax credit program has been used at religious schools that ban gay, lesbian and bisexual students, according to a report released late last month.
