Dunwoody Ethics Board Upholds Complaints Against Mayor, Council Member

Councilwoman Adrian Bonser and Mayor Mike Davis still have some ethical business to deal with.

After a four-hour meeting Tuesday, the city ethics board didn't dismiss that Bonser may have leaked information from a February city executive session and that Davis breached the city's code by asking her to resign.

Carter's Grandson Aided Romney Video Release

The grandson of former president and Georgia governor Jimmy Carter arranged for the release of the controversial video of GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, according to media reports.

WSB-TV and others have reported that James Carter IV of Dunwoody tracked down the person who did the hidden-camera video of Romney, then leaked it to the magazine Mother Jones.

GCPD Identify Suspect in Alleged Bay Creek Park Abduction Attempt

According to Gwinnett County Police, Jean Souffrant, 40, of 1418 Great Shoals Circle in Lawrenceville, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2017 and charged with one count of kidnapping inconnection with an attempted child abduction.

Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Shanteau to Visit Patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

Olympic Gold Medalist Eric Shanteau will visit patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) at Scottish Rite today between 1:30-3:30 p.m.

He will also be featured on Children’s closed-circuit television beginning at 2:30 p.m. for a live interview show, according to a CHOA press release. Patients that cannot leave their rooms to meet Shanteau in person can call into the show, ask questions and watch him live as he answers them.

GCPD: Turner Said He Had 'Approximately 5 Shots' Before DUI Arrest

After initially telling a Gwinnett Police officer early Tuesday that he had nothing to drink, Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner said he had "approximately 5 shots" at a bar in Atlanta before his DUI arrest, according to the arrest report.

The arrest report, which was released Wednesday, quoted Turner as saying that he had consumed the alcohol at Magic City in Atlanta about 3 a.m. "after getting there late." Asked by the arresting officer if the shots were normal size, Turner said the shots were "in cups, not glasses."
