Wrong Way Driver Causes Fatal Accident on GA 400

Zone 2 units responded to an accident at GA 400 northbound near Lennox Road.

A preliminary investigation showed a driver entering the freeway from Lennox Road traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. The wrong-way driver collided head on with another vehicle that was traveling north on 400.

Police Release Photos of Tattoos in Hopes of Identifying Dead Man 

Gwinnett Police still have not determined the cause of death or the identity of a man found dead in Technology Park on Monday.

Police discovered the man's body in the early morning hours after receiving a call of a suspicious person sleeping or possibly dead behind the office building at 25 Technology Parkway South.

The homicide unit was called to investigate after police discovered several head injuries on the body of the white male.

In an effort to help identify the man, police have released images of two tattoos found on the body in hopes that someone will recognize him.

Man Arrested in Rape of Norcross Teen

The 's Fugitive Unit arrested a Lawrenceville man Tuesday on charges of burglary and rape that occurred in a Norcross home.

Duoc Nguyen, 21, allegedly broke into the home and raped a 16-year-old girl, according to a press release from Lt. S. W. Smith of the Gwinnett sheriff's office. Norcross Police issued felony warrants for Nguyen for burglary and rape on Sunday.

Adult Entertainment Violations, Sales to Minors May Get Bar's License Revoked

The Douglasville City Council will consider revoking or otherwise sanctioning  for being in recent violation of several of the city's ordinances, including selling alcohol to minors and violation of adult entertainment provisions.

The matter will be under consideration by the Douglasville City Council at their 9 a.m. work session meeting Thursday.

Choruses 'Not Diverse Enough' to Perform With Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

Two East Cobb high schools have been told they will not be performing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in the fall because they lack racial diversity.

The choruses at  and  high schools have been barred from full participation in the ASO's joint holiday concert held in December.

 spokesperson Jay Dillon told 11 Alive News that, "the schools were informed by Symphony officials that their choruses are not diverse enough, and that the Symphony would be inviting a third, more diverse chorus."

Membership in both choral groups is based upon merit alone.
