2 Shot Multiple Times in Drug Deal Gone Bad - Lawrenceville Patch
Two men were arrested in connection to what police believe was a drug deal gone bad in Lawrenceville.
According to the Gwinnett County Docket Book and Lawrenceville Police reports, 22-year-old Roger Flint Ford, of Lawrenceville, and Leo Harvey were arrested in the incident, which resulted in two men being shot multiple times.
Officers met with the two victims, a 22-year-old and 35-year-old from Tennessee, at Gwinnett Medical Center after the alleged shooting Feb. 3. Reward Offered in Hall County Murder Case - Cumming Patch
Gov. Nathan Deal has signed an executive order authorizing a $1,000 reward for the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Hannah Truelove.
Truelove, a Gainesville High School student, was found murdered behind Lake Lanier Club Apartments, where she lived with her mother, on Aug. 24, 2012. A resident discovered her body in a heavily wooded area between the apartment complex and Lake Lanier. She had been stabbed multiple times. Cumming Patch has more on the story.
'Bows For Bowman' Created For Woodstock Teen Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run - Woodstock Patch
A Facebook page has been created for the Woodstock teenager who remains in critical condition after she was critically injured in a hit-and-run in Athens over the weekend.
Bows For Bowman already has over 2,500 fans and has asked everyone to pray for the teenager.
Emily Bowman, 19, a former Kennesaw State University student, was in Athens to attend a friend's birthday party. As she walked on the grassy shoulder of Oak Street just after 3 a.m. Saturday, a pickup truck hit her and fled the scene. Woodstock Patch has the full story.
Suspects Arrested in Connection with Mableton Bank Robbery - South Cobb Patch
A Marietta woman and an Austell man were recently arrested in connection with a Feb. 9 armed robbery at a Mableton bank.
Rachel Zevanith Levy and Ralfeal Anton White each face felony robbery charges, according to the Marietta Daily Journal as well as online Cobb County Sheriff's Office records. Levy also faces a felony theft by taking charge.
Just before 12:15 p.m. Feb. 9, a black woman wearing a green pullover hooded jacket and a dark coat approached tellers at the Best Bank inside the Kroger at 4875 Floyd Rd., Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department, said at the time. Home Invasion Shooting Prompts Neighborhood Watch in Loganville - Loganville-Grayson Patch
In the light of recent crime in the area, the Sharon Church community is banding together. Paul Slater was shot Jan. 4 by Melinda Herman after he broke into her Henderson Ridge home. He survived the shooting and is now being held in Walton County Jail without bond.
Several homeowners in the greater Sharon Church Road subdivision plan on meeting this week to discuss establishing a neighborhood watch program.
"As a result of this, we feel we should come together as a community and create a larger neighborhood watch program so we can communicate within our own area what may be happening," Loganville resident Anita Brown wrote in a newsletter to the neighborhood. Read more at Loganville-Grayson Patch.
