Most Wanted: Melinda Sue Blackmon

The 19-year-old is wanted by Cartersville and Kingston police on theft charges.

  • Description: Caucasian woman; 5-feet-5-inches tall and 118 pounds; brown hair and hazel eyes.
  • Last Known Address: 650 Sugar Valley Road in Cartersville.
  • Accusations: Blackmon is wanted by Kingston police on a charge of theft by taking and by the on a theft by deception charge.

Anyone with information on Blackmon's whereabouts should call 911 or BCSO's dispatch, non-emergency line at 770-382-5050, option 7.

Cartersville-Bartow County Crime Stoppers accepts anonymous information on its tip line at 770-606-TIPS (8477). It gives cash rewards for tips that lead to an arrest in some cases.

from BCSO: "Melinda Blackmon was arrested this morning after BCSO patrol deputies were called to a reported burglary of an outbuilding at 650 Sugar Valley Road. While investigating the incident, Blackmon was located inside the residence (her mother and father lived here) and arrested on her outstanding charges. "After posting her information on our Friday most wanted posting, numerous tips were received about Blackmon and her whereabouts.
