Police: Missing Cartersville Man, 60, Found

He was last seen Sunday at 6 p.m. at a park on Sugar Valley Road.

The Cartersville Police Department has issued a Mattie's Call alert for a missing man last seen Sunday evening at a local park.

Authorities are seeking information on Edward Thomas Hampstead, a 60-year-old Caucasian man, last seen Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Cartersville Baseball Complex park on Sugar Valley Road, according to an automated telephone recording of Capt. Mark Camp.

Hampstead was wearing blue jeans, a red sweater, a black jacket and blue shoes. He lives at 16 beechwood Drive, Cartersville, in Bartow County, and may be headed to Tennessee, according to Camp.

Anyone with any information on Hampstead or his whereabouts should call 911.
