Man Charged with Burglaries, Thefts

Cartersville police say Russell Carr, 28, has been arrested in connection with five Cartersville incidents.

Authorities say the man responsible for several local thefts and burglaries is behind bars.

Chief Tommy Culpepper in a press release said Russell Carr, 28, of Cartersville, recently was arrested and charged in connection with these Cartersville incidents:

  • The March 18 theft of a 2002 Dodge Dakota from 403 Old Mill Road;
  • The March 18 theft of a 2008 Toyota Tacoma on Highway 113; 
  • The April 14 theft of a Horh 7-by-20-foot, enclosed cargo trailer from S. Tennessee St.;
  • An April 4 burglary at 500 Bates Road, in which Carr allegedly took a Kawasaki Mule, two pistols and a generator; and
  • A May 3 burglary at Specialty Auto Solutions, 1403 West Ave., in which a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, a 2004 Ford F-150 and a flat-screen TV were taken.

The investigation is ongoing.
