Look: Alleged DUI Driver Overturns Jeep, Hits Power Pole

It was the Cartersville woman's third DUI, according to Bartow County Jail records.

An alleged drunken driver flipped an SUV and struck a power pole two days after Christmas in Cartersville.

Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said a trooper responded Friday, Dec. 27, to the single-vehicle crash on Sugar Valley Road about 9:35 a.m.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee had left the roadway, overturned and struck a power pole.

The driver, Julie Ann Flatt, 41, of 2156 Sugar Valley Road in Cartersville, was arrested in connection with the crash. She was charged with her third DUI for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and failing to yield while turning left, according to Bartow County Jail records.

Flatt was taken to Cartersville Medical Center for treatment of her injuries and booked into the jail about 4 hours later, at 1:19 p.m.
