LoJack Tips Bartow Deputies to Allegedly Stolen SUV, Wanted Fugitive in Cartersville

A local woman also was arrested after authorities found suspected methamphetamine in the home.

Bartow County authorities say a LoJack led them to a wanted fugitive and stash of alleged drugs, a find that resulted in a Cartersville woman's arrest.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a press release a Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit (SCPU) deputy working near Cartersville Friday started receiving a "hit" through his LoJack system, which indicated a stolen vehicle was nearby. The deputy was able to obtain a tracking number and 911 dispatchers gave out a description of the vehicle.

The 2005 Chevy Tahoe, which had been reported stolen through Lawrenceville on Friday morning, was sitting in the driveway of a Buena Vista Circle home in Cartersville, Millsap said.
