Jail Converts to Video Visitation

As the facility converts to video visitation, it will be closed to visitors throughout the weekend and reopen for prisoner visitation at noon Monday.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office officials have called off jail visitations through Monday "due to unforeseen circumstances," according to the press release.

The visitation booths will reopen Monday at noon and visits will be conducted through the video visitation system. For further instructions and rules, see the visitation rules posted in the jail lobby.

When the visitation booths reopen the schedule will be as follows:

Any day of the week β€” 8:30 to 11 a.m., noon to 4:30 p.m., 6 to 7 p.m. and 8:30 to 11 p.m.

There will be no visitation after 11 p.m. Visitors will not be able to sign up for visitation any later than 30 minutes before the listed stop times. All visits will terminate at the above times no matter how long the visit has lasted.

An inmate may only receive four visits per week with a total of eight visitors per week (not including infants less than 3 years of age).

An inmate can only receive one visitation per day. Visitation will be 25 minutes per session. Sign up is first come first serve and will not begin more than 30 minutes before scheduled visitation times.

In the coming weeks a software system will be installed that will allow visitors to schedule their next visit over the Internet or in advance while at the jail.
