'I Didn't Know That Was in There, I Thought It Was All Gone' in Crazy Crime

Cartersville and Bartow County police reports chronicle some weird crime stories, which include a man from whom three goats have been taken and another who said he smokes spice out of a pipe found in his car.

A few police reports chronicling strange happenings in Cartersville and Bartow County in the last day or so caught our eyes at Cartersville Patch. Here are the stories:

Man Forgets Pot, Paraphernalia in His Bag

A man walking in a parking lot Tuesday caught the attention of police, who searched his bag and found items the man said he thought weren't there.

Police stopped Christopher Livingston, 23, about 11:35 a.m. near Applebee's due to recent incidents of auto burglaries in the Cherokee Place shopping center, according to the Cartersville Police Department incident report, attached. Livingston, of Acworth, said his vehicle was being repaired across the street and he was waiting.

He allowed police to search his bag, which allegedly contained a glass pipe that contained burned marijuana, a small metal pipe also with residue and a "grinder," officers report.

"When Mr. Livingston observed what I had located, he stated, 'Oh...I didn't know that was in there, I thought it was all gone,'" an officer wrote in the report.

Livingston was arrested and charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Driver Says He Smokes 'Spice' in Pipe Found in Car

A man police stopped for not having tag lights told police he smokes synthetic marijuana, also known as "Spice," in a smoking pipe found in his van.

Four people occupied the silver van police spotted Monday about 10:15 p.m., pulling into Crown Inn, according to the CPD report, attached.

The driver told police he had a pipe in his pocket and in his other pocket, a package of Spice he bought at an Acworth gas station.

Police took the black package of Party Fever and the pipe for testing, which will determine if the driver faces charges.

Cartersville Man Missing 3 Goats

A local man says he lost three goats in the past five weeks due to theft.

The Hamilton Crossing Road resident, 65, told authorities Monday someone had taken his 3-month-old goat. Two other goats were taken in prior five weeks, but he didn't report the thefts, he said, according to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office report, attached.

The goat is worth $50.
