Hospital: Woman Strips in ER

The 36-year-old resident of a local motel was arrested after she was discharged from Cartersville Medical Center.

An emergency room patient got more than medical treatment during a late night visit to the hospital.

It was criminal treatment for 36-year-old Betty Sue Huling, an resident who allegedly refused to leave after she had been discharged.

Hospital workers called law enforcement authorities shortly before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday to report Huling would not leave the facility and was "disrobing" in the emergency room area.

A deputy who responded to the call reports an intoxicated Huling would not comply with his requests for information, but admitted to taking off her clothes.

Following the near hour long event, she was transported to jail "without further issue," the officer reports. Based on his investigation, drugs were not involved in the incident.

Huling was charged with disorderly conduct, a county ordinance violation that carries a $162 cash bond.
