Updated: Moultrie Man Killed in Crash

A car pulled into the path of the motorcycle on Highway 113, ejecting the driver.

Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright identified the motorcyclist killed in an early-morning crash in Cartersville as William McCullar, 24, of Moultrie.

Troopers' initial investigation indicates a Nissan Altima about 5:22 a.m. turned from Picklesimer Road, pulling into the path of his Suzuki, which was traveling on Highway 113.

As a result, the motorcycle struck the Nissan, ejecting McCullar into the roadway. He was then hit by Ford Explorer.

The investigation continues. No charges have been filed.

One person died this morning in a car-motorcycle crash at Highways 113 and 61 in Cartersville.

says motorists should avoid the area for several hours due to the fatality, which it reported at 6:39 a.m.

Investigators and numerous emergency vehicles are in the area, and all lanes may be blocked as the accident is eventually cleared. No time frame was given.
