A teenager was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting Friday night in Euharlee.

The GBI said Christopher Roupe, 17, was shot while Euharlee Police officers were serving arrest warrants at a Euharlee residence. A GBI spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the teen opened the door and pointed a gun at officers. An officer reportedly fired one shot.

The Daily Tribune in Cartersville reported the incident took place at the Eagle View Mobile Home Park in Euharlee.

The teen was taken to Cartersville Medical Center, where he died, according to the Tribune.

Harry, there is not one witness that agrees that he had a gun. There was a Wii controller by his body. Just read a bit more. I think this is tragic.

Are you saying the GBI would lie ? What is in it for them to lie to protect a small town cop? Ever hear of Occam's razor? The GBI is not going to risk a scandal by doing a cover up for one small town cop. "A GBI spokesperson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the teen opened the door and pointed a gun at officers." Just because there are not witnesses doesn't mean it didn't happen. The cops were serving two probation violation warrants so this house has a history of criminal behavior.
