Driver, Witness Accounts Differ in Fatal Crash

Booth Western Art Museum manager and entertainer Doc Stovall died in the March 21 crash at the intersection of North Tennessee Street and Felton Road.

The car crash that claimed the life of a local entertainer is still under investigation, but the report released today indicates one of the two drivers ran a red light.

entertainment manager Doc Stovall, a Lithia Springs resident, was unresponsive following the crash at the intersection of North Tennessee Street and Felton Road. Stovall's vehicle collided with a truck driven by a Louisiana man, who told police he had the green light.

But a witness said the other driver had a red light, and Stovall had just entered the intersection with a green light.

The other driver sustained injuries to his left hand, but refused treatement.

The museum is holding . It's set for Saturday, April 21, at 2 p.m. in the Booth Ballroom and is free and open to the public.
