Crazy Crime: Woman Uses Her Body to Hide Tobacco in Jail; Man Beaten in Apparent Robbery

Cartersville and Bartow County police reports chronicle some weird crime stories, which include a woman who stabbed a man she was trying to force his way into her home.

A few police reports chronicling strange happenings in Cartersville and Bartow County in the last day or so caught our eyes at Cartersville Patch. Here are the stories:

Woman Stabs Would-Be Home Intruder

A local woman told police she stabbed a man who tried to force his way into her home.

The woman was in the living room of her North Erwin Street apartment watching a DVD and drinking a beer about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, when someone knocked at her back door, according to the Cartersville Police Department incident report, attached.

She opened the door to an unknown man who said, "Bitch, I got you," and tried to force his way inside. The woman said she grabbed a knife and stabbed the man in the stomach.

He then bent over, grabbed his stomach and turned to run away, the woman said. The suspect is described as an African-Amerian man with a stocky-to-athletic build and about 5-feet-10-inches tall. He was wearing a black ski mask and a dark-colored pull-over and sweatpants.

Man Beaten, Blacks Out in Apparent Robbery

An Evergreen Trail resident Sunday was beaten as he walked home and blacked out in an apparent robbery at extended-stay motel Parkway North.

The victim, who sustained bruising to the face, told police about 1 p.m. a man approached him between two buildings and asked him for a couple of dollars, according to the CPD report, attached. A second man came from behind and put the victim in a choke hold, the he fell to the ground and the duo began striking him in his head and upper body.

He blacked out and woke up with his wallet out of his pocket, but nothing was missing from it.

Woman Allegedly Hides Tobacco in Her Vagina in Jail

A woman arrested by Cartersville police an charges she failed to pay her dining tab in dowtown Cartersville faces additional charges based on an accusation she hid tobacco in her vagina inside the Bartow County jail.

Jelissa Sarah Jordan, 20, of Redcomb Drive in Cartersville, was arrested Saturday just before midnight, when she allegedly couldn't pay her $43.61 bill at Jefferson's restaurant and had no one to call, except for "Scarface," who didn't answer his phone, according to the report, attached.

By 5 p.m. Sunday, Jordan was in trouble with jail staff about possibly having tobacco, which is considered contraband for inmates, according to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office incident report, attached.

When confronted with the accusation, Jordan allegedly pulled a wrapped package of tobacco from her vagina, then admitted to bringing the tobacco inside the facility using her body.

In addition to theft of services, Jordan was charged with possession of contraband by an inmate and violating security measures.
