Updated , Wednesday, Oct. 23, 10:30 a.m.

The Cartersville woman accused of a 2001 homicide in her hometown of Raleigh, N.C., was arrested Tuesday about 4 p.m. in Bartow County.

Cathy Lynne Lentini, whose aliases are listed as Cathy Orrell Lentini and Cathy Orrell Piper, was living at 80 Pine Needle Trail SE in Cartersville, according to a Bartow County Sheriff's Office press release, which, in part, reads:

"Deputies and investigators from Bartow County Sheriff's Office went to the address provided and had to wait for her to return to her home...."

Lentini is being held without bond in the Bartow County jail, pending an extradition hearing.

She was unemployed, according to BCSO's arrest and booking report.

Original Report, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 12:30 a.m.

A Cartersville woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing in her hometown of a 91-year-old woman.

Twelve years ago—nearly to the day—Beulah Dickerson, who lived alone, was found deceased in the bedroom of her west Raleigh, N.C., home, according to the Raleigh Police Department's website and WTVD-TV. Dickerson, 91, who died of blunt force trauma to the head, was found by emergency services Oct. 24, 2001, reports the News & Observer

Cathy Lynne Lentini, 53, formerly Cathy Piper, now sits in the Bartow County jail on a murder charge in connection with what had been a 12-year-old cold case, according to WRAL.

Lentini is from Raleigh, according to her Facebook page. Police say she lived near Dickerson when the elderly woman—a resident of her home for more than 40 years—was murdered, and had since relocated to Cartersville, reports WRAL. There were no obvious signs of forced entry to Dickerson's house, authorities said in 2001.

With the help of local authorities, Raleigh police, who traveled to Cartersville, arrested Lentini, who now awaits extradition proceedings, according to WNCN. Police recently obtained enough probable cause to get the arrest warrant, but haven't commented on an alleged motive.

Lentini attended Millbrook High School in Raleigh, according to her Facebook page, on which she posted several photos and this Aug. 2 status update:

"In a bad way, husband just walked out and left me broke:( any comment"

None of Lentini's five Facebook friends commented.

The connection between Lentini and Dickerson is unclear, as is the reason—and when—Lentini moved to Cartersville.
