Cartersville Man Killed in Suspected Double Murder-Suicide in Tennessee

Ryan Dale Oetken, 33, of Cartersville, and his sister and brother-in-law were found shot and killed after a domestic argument became violent.

A Cartersville man was one of three people shot and killed early Sunday morning in an apparent murder-suicide in Fayetteville, TN.

Ryan Dale Oetken, 33, of Cartersville, and his sister, Julaine Marie Faulkner, 38, and her husband, Jeff Faulkner, 50, both of Fayetteville, were found deceased about 2 a.m. in the bedroom of the couple's home, reports the Elk Valley Times.

Police dispatched to a shots-fired call met with another couple who said they were in the house when a domestic argument became violent and fled when shooting started in the bedroom, according to WSMV-TV in Nashville.

"Upon arrival, they met with two subjects who stated they were in the residence when a domestic argument escalated, and they heard a gunshot in the bedroom," Sheriff Murray Blackwelder said, according to the Elk Valley Times. "The couple immediately ran from the house and then heard numerous other shots."
