The driver was ejected and hit the cable median barrier.

A Cartersville man was killed early New Year's Day in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 75.

James Anthony Tanner, 29, was driving the motorcycle southbound on Interstate 75 when about 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 1, it began to slide on its right side at mile marker 291, according to Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright.

Tanner was ejected from the bike and hit the cable median barrier.
