Bomb Threat Targets Quik Trip in Cartersville

What appear to be prank calls also sent police in search of a dead body at Bojangles.

The Quik Trip gas station in Cartersville was the subject of a bomb threat Friday night, which led to detours as nearby roads were blocked by emergency response crews.

Cartersville Fire Department officials say no bomb nor explosives were found at the Highway 41 convenience store at Grassdale Road.

Police also Friday night responded to a report of a dead body at Bojangles on East Main Street, but searched the building and found no body, WBHF-AM 1450 reported on Facebook.

Cartersville Police Department Capt. Mark Camp told the radio station the calls appeared to be prank calls or hoaxes.
