Bartow Sheriff's Office Looking For Car Thief

A man who left his vehicle running outside T&M Food Store near Taylorsville observed a man get into his vehicle and drive away.

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help them identify a suspect wanted for allegedly stealing a car outside a convenience store. 

According to a report filed with the agency on May 16, a Cartersville man parked his 2000 silver Chevrolet Malibu (with a white hood) at T&M Food Store on Highway 113 at Covered Bridge Road near Taylorsville. 

The man left his car running and went inside the store. Once in the store, he looked outside and saw a man driving off in his vehicle.

The stolen Malibu was last seen traveling on Highway 113 toward Polk County just after 1 p.m. May 16.

Anyone who can identify this man or the location of the stolen vehicle is asked to call the sheriff's office's Criminal Investigations Division at 770-382-5050 ext. 6030.
