Bartow Sheriff's Deputies Seek Woman Who Stole Car

Surveillance footage captured the suspect at a local QuikTrip and Walmart, where she abandoned the stolen vehicle.

The Bartow County Sheriff's Office is looking to the public to help them identify a woman who they believe allegedly stole a car only to abandon the vehicle at a local Walmart.

On March 26, a resident told authorities that while he was visiting a friend on Highway 20 spur, his 2010 Honda Accord was stolen. The car was eventually recovered at Walmart on Market Place Boulevard in Cartersville.

Sheriff's office investigators received more information that the suspect allegedly drove the car to QuikTrip on U.S. 41 at Grassdale Road at around 8:30 p.m. and purchased items that was found inside the vehicle.

Surveillance footage recovered show a white woman walking into Walmart after she allegedly parked the vehicle, the sheriff's office said. The same woman was also spotted on video inside the QuikTrip before she made the trip to Walmart.

Anyone with information on the case or possible identification of this woman is asked to call the agency's Criminal Investigations Division at 770-382-5050 ext. 6030.
