Arrest Made in Church Robbery, Assault

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the Aug. 5 robbery and assault at and is believed to be involved in other recent, similar incidents in the area, according to .
Police have charged Jerry Jerome Kilgore, 17, of the 300 block of Old Mill Road with attempted forced robbery, simple battery, criminal trespass under $500 and entering an automobile.
According to Lt. Mark Camp of the Cartersville Police Department, Kilgore is also being charged with theft by receiving in connection with an automobile break-in in the Wellington subdivision in May.

According to police, the arrest came as a result of two days of police work, including investigators following up on several leads and interviewing multiple people.
