Armed Robber Wearing Towel Hits Cartersville Store

He asked for cash, the clerk told police.

A man with a gun and wearing a towel robbed a Cartersville store Friday night.

The clerk said the man came in Sunoco at 700 Joe Frank Harris Parkway about 9:30 p.m. and brandished a black, semi-automatic handgun. His face was covered with what appeared to be a towel, according to the Cartersville Police Department incident report, above.

The robber only said he wanted to cash, according to the clerk. Two witnesses said the armed man asked for money and left.

How much money, if any, he took is unclear.
