Adairsville Police To Retire K-9

The Adairsville Police Department will hold a retirement ceremony for K-9 Dagger, who served the agency for two years.

The Adairsville Police Department will hold a retirement ceremony for its four-legged officer on Thursday.

The ceremony for K-9 Dagger will be held at 7 p.m. at the Rail Depot Museum on the city's public square. 

The event is free and open to the public. 

K-9 Dagger, a German Shepherd, has "faithfully served this community for more than two years, assisting with countless arrests and removing illegal drugs from our streets," the agency said on its Facebook page. 

The K-9 even has his own Facebook page, with 288 likes as of Wednesday morning.
