Adairsville Police Seeking Residents for Citizens Academy

The Citizens Police Academy will start on Monday, April 21.

The Adairsville Police Department is accepting applications for its Citizens Police Academy.

The academy will start on Monday, April 21 and will continue through Monday, June 2. 

The sessions typically meet once a week on Mondays around 6 p.m. at Adairsville Police Department Headquarters at 100 Public Square.

Some of the topics that will be discussed include drug investigations, K-9 operations, tactical operations and criminal investigations. Students will also be able to ride along with officers on patrol.

Applications can be obtained at police headquarters during normal business hours from a records clerk. All applicants will be required to submit to a criminal background check.
