4th Home Invasion Suspect Arrested

Bartow County authorities have already arrested three people accused of tying up a 12-year-old boy during an alleged home invasion in Cartersville.

Bartow County Sheriff's Office authorities have arrested the fourth person they say was involved in a July 12 home invasion in Cartersville.

Sheriff Clark Millsap said in a news release 19-year-old Glenn Voice Payton of Cartersville has been charged in connection with an alleged home invasion at 14 Jordan Road in which a 12-year-old boy allegedly was duct taped and items stolen from the home.

Payton was jailed on robbery, burglary, false imprisonment, kidnapping, battery and first-degree cruelty to children charges and faces an additional theft by deception charge. He allegedly sold to an area pawn shop a camera stolen during the suspected home invasion.

Investigators have arrested four people in connection with the alleged home invasion, all of whom remain incarcerated in the Bartow County Jail awaiting a Superior Court bond hearings. While they continue to attempt to recover the allegedly stolen property, authorities do not expect further arrests in the case.
