40 to 50 Fight at Local Establishment

Two people were arrested in the Sunday early morning incident at Elixir.

deputies say 40 to 50 people were involved in an affray at a local night club. Authorities were called to Elixir about 2 a.m. Sunday to a report of 20 to 30 people fighting in the parking lot.

When police arrived, the crowd began to disperse and security notified deputies of a man who allegedly started the first fight. He and another man were arrested as a result of the incident, but not before two deputies were injured and their property damaged.

Authorities say Marcus Deonte Aimes, 22, of 3090 Campbellton Road, Atlanta, was screaming at a group of people and pushed his way through the crowd to begin a fight with another man. The deputy reported Aimes resisted arrest, necessitating two burst of pepper spray.
